Shegaon Itinerary 2 Nights 3 Days [Self Plan by Train on weekends]

By Mahesh 14 Comments | Last Updated June 8, 2018

I planned this visit with my mother in mind, who is aged and wanted to visit Char Dham alongwith Samadhi mandir and Anand Sagar too ! So it was a two days plan from my side …

Shegaon Itinerary 2 Nights 3 Days [Self Plan by Train on weekends]

Trip starts Friday evening and ends Monday morning 5 AM

Friday6.25 pmfrom Pune, Azad Hind Express
Saturday 5.30 am Reached Shegaon
Saturday6.30 am to 9 amAwaited for accommodation at Bhakta Nivas 5
9 ~10 amMoved on to Anand Vihar which is @1.5 kilometers (Rikshaw cost 50 Rs), Rooms are newly build and great experience to stay here

Read more on Anand Vihar stay facilities and booking details

10.30 amAfter refreshing travelled back to Temple for Samadhi darshan

Read more on Gajanan Maharaj Samadhi Mandir, Shegaon

Read complete details on Char Dham tour at Shegaon

10 amTo Nagzari
11.30 amBack to Anand Vihar for lunch and rest
3.45 pmback journey to Pune by Maharashtra express
 Monday5 amReached Pune

Trip was very much comfortable and I could complete it without any hassle … I hired a rikshaw driver who  took care of all travel to and fro to Anand Vihar as well as Char Dham yatra, totally I paid around 750 Rs to him for 4 of us during two days, he was guide cum auto rikshaw driver who guided us with history at all places 🙂 If you wish you can get in touch with him at 9767381022 – Kadirbhai. I must admire his support and intelligence to  understand need of my mother, quick suggestions … you can really depend upon him ..

Once you reach Shegaon railway station, you can proceed to board Sansthan bus outside the station, no need to rush since they wait till the people arrive the bus (rikshaw drivers start following with you saying that bus will leave immediately before you reach or reverse way bus will take time to leave) .. its you choice, they charge 10 Rs per person whereas Sansthan bus is free of cost.

Now lets start with procedure to be followed at Bhakta Nivas,

  • Reach the Bkakta nivas building number 5 (shown in below photograph)
  • Booking office is at the ground floor
  • If you are a couple proceed to right side of entrance where you get small piece of permission paper after presenting photo ID proof (for both persons, even you are husband and wife)
  • After getting permission paper proceed to front office (left side after you enter) and sit in queue
  • A person will ask you details of room requirements and provide registration paper
  • Bhakta nivas 5 is most luxurious near the temple and hence normally occupied, you will not easily get rooms early morning, I awaited there for two hours and lastly went to Anand Vihar (other persons awaiting got rooms at 11 am)
  • My suggestion is not to wait more than an hour but to proceed to Anand Vihar, where they have newly build high quality rooms

bhakta nivas and sansthan bus

Rest all information on Gajanan Maharaj Samadhi temple visit, Char Dham Visit, Anand Sagar visit I have given in very much details on blog through previous posts … Do read them and if you have any doubt mail me or call me … I am here to help you out 🙂

Can you tell me if i book the MAHARASHTRA EXP train tickets before 12 days or 20 days from now.Is this possible to get confirm seat after WL(Waiting List) 63.Because,I am getting RLWL78/WL 63 in Sleeper coach.

With 63 wait list do not see chance of confirmation …..
But if inlaws are senior citizen, then try to book the each person ticket separately (As senior citizen) then you have better chances to get railway ticket …
