Solashi Shani Temple, Satara, Maharashtra

By Mahesh 3 Comments | Last Updated May 12, 2018

This time when FONA trek was decided to Kalyangad and Jarandeshwar, Patil sir decided to guide us since his hometown is at the foot of Kalyangad.Since he is aware of the shortest possible routes and possible holy places to visit on the way, first place that

we could visit on the way is beautiful Shani temple at Solshi.

I will recommend reading in details about the Temple history and efforts put in by the trust on their official website of Solashi Shani Temple

The Solshi Shani Temple is surrounded by green hills, very well maintained by Shree Tirthakshetra Sola Shivling Shanaishwar Devsthan Charitable Trust. The area is clean, idols are painted, temple is decorated by glass pieces which looks beautiful.

The Shani Mandir, pooja is being performed by devotees, please note that females are not allowed to enter this area, also men are required to remove caps or leather objects before entering this area.

So my recommendation is to include this temple in your one day trek plan to to Kalyangad and Jarandeshwar.

You can have one day trek & trip from Pune as indicated below

First visit Solshi Shani Temple,

Second visit to Jarandeshwar Hanuman Temple

Third visit to Fort Kalyangad

Last visit to the Yamai Devi Temple and then back to Pune

This will be approximately 300 kilometers round in a day
