If you want to have a quite and clam beach vacation, I suggest Tamastirtha – Ladghar beach near Dapoli.
I was searching for some new and different location for weekend trip, where I came across tamastirtha, where some one said the sea water gets red due to sunset reflections. hence I decided to head down to this beach.
First investigation (as a blogger) is that Tamastirtha name is not because the sunset reflections make the water red, but it is because the water turns red during some period in a year (not fixed .. 4~5 days in a year), I could get a flavor of red colour water in morning during tide rise.
Second thing is that people has written that this beach is rocky .. but from below photographs you can see that it is clean (rocks are there on one side of the beach .. but it is far away)
Reaching the beach is quire tedious since the roads are n pretty bad condition, however the nature is so good that I can forgive the bad roads :-)btw note that only IDEA and Vodaphone networks are available here.. nothing else works !!

Red colour sea water (I think when complete water looks red like this .. it is called as Tamas Tirtha)

the hotels are pretty good, having homely food available, but pre-booking is must.

what is the best time to go ladghar beach in between apr to september. Please suggest
April-May Would be too hot to be at sea beach, June-Auguest would be heavy rains … September would be the only recommendation from me … again it is governed by your taste … in April-May also there is lot of rush at this locations to enjoy fresh fish and beer 🙂 … Cheers !
