Ok, so what is my Selection criteria? I have tried to explain it based on various important factors as enlisted below for my review of resorts –

Selection Criteria

First and foremost thing is BUDGET. I have selected hotels which gives you an air conditioned room in 2K budget price budget per night per couple/family.

Other aspects that I look for are –

1. AC room / Size of room / Furniture – Sofa etc / Cleanliness
2. Nearness to main market (city center) – Walkable distance
3. Araku Valley view
4. Children play facilities, Swimming pool
5. Restaurant
6. Pet friendly
7. Parking space
8. Hotels Near Bus stand / Hotels Near Railway station
9. Overall Check in 10 am / Check out 9 am

Out of 5 resorts I stayed at 2 resorts, Akshay Inn and Krishna Tara Comforts. Both resorts are good in terms of rooms and service. All other resorts I have visited personally and then only selected them in Top 5 Resorts of Araku Valley list.

1) AP Tourism Haritha hill resort Mayuri –

I loved this resort for the main 2 reasons, beautiful Araku valley view and grand sized rooms. Another important thing is swimming pool for kids as well as nearness to the main market (its located in the main market itself)

I stayed in this hotel for one night and experience was good.

Hotel Akshaya Inn has well furnished neat and clean rooms with amenities like air conditioner, television, daily newspaper.

My daughter stayed here for one night. She was having her pet accompanied and very happy with the service.

Krishnatara Comforts is just 1 km awany from main market place (Tribal museum) and 2 km distance from Araku Railway Station.

Basic aminities like a wardrobe, makeup mirror, attached bathroom with hot and cold water supply and television with premium TV channels provided to each room.
