Here I selected Swiss airlines and got this price for a direct flight. (early birds gets better prices)
Also the hotels I selected were costing around 10,000 Rs per night (3 star), you can get good bargain if you decide early, the same hotels were available at 6000~7000 Rs in the beginning when I started my study, hence it is most important to decide upon the hotels early enough. The hotel prices starts rising like anything as the days pass by.
Train and mountain passes prices will not vary much so that booking you can do last.Glacier express I did booking upto Chur, but later I realized that most thrilling route is upto St. Mortiz, hence I suggest to go upto St. Mortiz by this route.
Other expenses you can calculate when you go though my posts about food and the Souvenirs.
When I say misc, means expenses for the toilets, incidentals etc.
I realized that selecting 2 star hotels or backpackers would have brought the costs for stay considerably down and these hostels are pretty good with minimal stay and centralized cooking facilities.
Hope this helps as basic guidelines.
Cheers !!

tell me one thing, you spent 22500 on swiss pass per person, if 4 people are travelling then don't you think renting a car will be cheaper or more or less even same amount compared to public transport?! did you find people travelling by motorhome/RV's??!!

@ Rahul
1) Swiss pass – if you have kids below age 16 then they travel free in pass for parents 🙂
2) Swiss pass allows you to travel unlimited 24 hours a day, using bus, train, boat and most of the cable cars 🙂
I don;t this both the above benefits would be available if you drive by a car !
we used to select bus traveling in one direction (say east) and roam around till the bus returns back to the same station, then catch West and so on .. so able to get the feel of city … which is difficult for a car … also the person driving can not enjoy the views …
i rented a taxi once .. but it is damn costly affair 🙁
