As u start ur jungle safari .. the first thing that a guide starts looking for is pug marks .. if u get them u r lucky that tiger has just walked down the street ! yes they like walking on road rather than jungle !! the next thing is monkey calls which indicates tiger movement …
we spent around 3 hours on route 2 and did not get tiger sighting …. as we came out of route to go towards main road, officer on gate told that T19 is sitting aside the road on exit route and u will get tiger sighting 🙂

our gypsy driver was standing at road side and moved forward, where we also got good view as well as road was not blocked, however other drivers were reckless and blocked the road .. they were even not ready to listen to the forest officer who was requesting them to keep route open ..!!!

T19 started moving forward, however gypsy’s also started moving forward making it difficult to cross the road and hence he decided to sit down again ! so sad …. there is no hold of forest officers on gypsy drivers (obviously if u take money no one will respect ur powers !!!)

First day evening on return journey from fort Ranthambore we got sighting of T24 (father of T19) we were so happy to get it before start of safari tour 🙂
another snap of T24, it is normal that T19 and T24 sitting on road side and local people walking down or going over 2 wheelers !!! as said u r allowed to goto fort Ranthambore without any special permission ! I think this shall be stopped.
records of pug marks are collected by forest officers which we found lying all around the core zone office (chowki) shows carelessness of forest officers of Ranthambore (this is the same zone where I found many liquor bottles lying freely !!)
at the back of the impression mark the history of capture written, at least these forest officers shall be sensible to keep them stacked rather than scattering them around !!

while we went on route 1, our guide was not that sharp ! hence we roamed around for nothing for 2 hours, on the return way just before we reached the exit gate, another gypsy spotted call, we also awaited and saw Leopard .

see this picture and try to locate the leopard, it is s camouflaged that it is difficult to spot it ! u should be alert to detect the movement, being in the same gypsy my wife could not see him !!!

squirrel eating chips !! they are so used to do this that if u sit down they come to u to get food !!
damn the forest officers shall be strict enough !!!

Summary
– Indiscipline in gypsy drivers and hence tourists seen all over due to no hold of forest officers at Ranthambore
– birds are used to eat things thrown by tourists (again here they are not at fault, forest officers shall do their duty)
– gypsy drivers block the roads which makes it difficult for the tiger to cross the road, I came to know that a tigress cub was missing on route 3 due to similar incident where gypsy’s rushed to the spot, making it impossible for the tigress to cross the road alongwith cubs, and in hassle she lost one cub, forest officers blocked the route and fined the gypsy drivers !! but looks like these forest officers has not learnt any lesson out of this happenings !!
– forest officer at entry gate asked for money to change the route (our guide said “sir aap ko samaj nahi aa raha hai .. wo kuch mithai de do” .. )
