Tindora cracked (see image on the left hand side) …
This word cracked is used in Marathi as “Futane” .. which means foliage to sprout … sounds funny !! this is what my language is like some times I also don’t understand why this word is used to describe sprouting process !!!
Anyway the photo shown here is of Tindora or the creeper ivy gourd, which is now part of my house garden …
Growing Tindora from seeds is difficult & no-guarantee process, u may not get fruits after 1~2 years also ? then only good solution is to grow it from the existing creeper vine.
you can buy / borrow from friend / farm tindora crepper of @ 2 meters long, wind it to get ~ 8~10 inch circlular bundle (see photo on left), burry it in ground to @3~4 inch. do not forget to put some water after this ! now within 8 days u will see something like shown in photograph, it will crack !! means sprout 🙂 & u r ready to get fruits within 6 months.
The one u see in photograph is borrowed from my friends hosue & he got it from his home town !
